Malecon

The Malecón is a broad esplanade, roadway, and seawall that stretches for 8 km (5 miles) along the coast in Havana, Cuba, from the mouth of Havana Harbor in Old Havana, along the north side of the Centro Habana neighborhood and the Vedado neighborhood, ending at the mouth of the Almendares River.

La Habana Vieja (Old Havana), declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, is the historic center of the city of Havana. It is formed by a harbor and the official center, the Plaza de Armas. There you will find all kinds of picturesque monuments, fortresses, churches, palaces, etc. It is full of authentic architectural treasures from different periods and offers one of the most comprehensive collections of urban buildings in all America.

Hotel Nacional de Cuba

Built in 1930 has been declared a National Monument due to its artistic and historic value. It has a large list of important clients (even well-known members of the Italian-american mafia); some of the most famous are:Frank Sinatra, Ernest Hemingway, Nelson Rockefeller, and movie actors such as Marlon Brando, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth or Fred Astaire.

Night life - Vedado
